Thank you for your interest in applying to graduate school at UPSem. UPSem is currently only accepting application for Certificates and Limited Enrollment for Fall 2025. The application for Spring 2026, Spring II 2026, and Fall 2026 will open September 1.
You will not be able to access your application after it has been submitted. If you have already submitted your application, PLEASE CLICK HERE to access your applicant portal. There is no application fee.
Union Presbyterian Seminary has campuses in both Richmond and Charlotte. If you have not spoken to an admissions director regarding your interest in seminary, it is highly encouraged that you speak to Rev. Annie Franklin Arvin (Richmond) or Rev. Ashlee Anderson (Charlotte) prior to beginning your application. Please email admissions@upsem.edu for more information.

- Master of Theology: February 1
- Doctor of Ministry: March 15
- Limited Enrollment and Certificate:
- Spring I: November 1
- Spring II: March 15
- Fall: August 1

International Applicants
International applicants requiring an F-1 visa are only eligible to apply to the Richmond campus. International applicants can ONLY apply to the M.Div., MACE, M.Div./MACE Dual Degrees program, and the Th.M. program.
- Online Applications are due on December 1st.
- All supplemental materials (TOEFL scores, official transcripts, references) are due on February 1st.
